Remember Jenga? Everyone knows the excitement when it's your turn to pull a block out, hoping that the colossal tower won't fall to your defeat. A title of the same name, Jenga, is coming to the Wii to deliver the same experience of the classic party game.

We know so little, yet our feet are shaking in anticipation. Fortunately, the gameplay trailer from Atari shown at E3 gives us more info than we can ever hope for. Apparently, the family favorite stacking game will come in its full glory as a video game.

There will be different themes - may it be in the desert, under the sea, or inside a volcano. Jenga blocks change in appearance depending on the theme, and we must say they look cool.

The heart-stopping event of putting the blocks together at the beginning of the game is present, and looks particularly fun thanks to the Wii controls. As any Jenga player would know, setting up the stack is the best form of foreplay. After that, it's all about survival of th...

Watch Godzilla and other skyscraper-sized monsters lay waste to a perfectly good city in these gameplay videos of the upcoming beat-em-up for the Nintendo Wii, Atari's Godzilla: Unleashed. We show you why a foursome is infinitely better than a pedestrian one-on-one pairing, at least when rampaging through a city as a giant monster is concerned.

While we're not shown anything new in these videos, they serve more as a comparison - that being, four players are certainly better than two. Why? Simply because you really get a sense of the destruction you're wreaking - the camera pans out to display the four of you, thus we get the "helicopter-in-the-sky" view of monsters tearing a hapless city apart. Not that we're knocking versus play, as you can see in the first video that it's pretty intense - but a free-for-all is definitely way more fun.

To be fair, though, in versus mode you appreciate all the neat details they've included in the game - for example, the planes that fr...

(From the Editor: Welcome to the third issue of our weekly feature, QuickJump QuickPeek! The feedback we've been getting from you guys has been great since the first issue was released three weeks ago. As a sign of gratitude, we're adding a new section that serves as a tribute to the best part of the industry; it's not Jade Raymond silly, we're talking about you guys! We won't be spoiling anything in the intro part, you have to go "peek" with us to find out. On to our third ish!)

It's been said that obsession, rather passion, is the most powerful driving human nature (it's not friendship either, go back to playing Pokemon). And this week's big events were glaring testaments to that line of thinking. For the fans' obsession for more affordable stuff, we were given a PS3 price cut; for the people raving about slimmer figures, we were given the Wii Fit and the PSP Slim; and for the people obsessed with gaming news, we were given the madness that is E3. It's been excruciating...

If you're a big fan of The Simpsons like most of the QJ blogging team, you'll definitely want to take look at these ten screenshots from the game. Why? Because it looks to be very accurate to the source material, and will induce quite a few chuckles from those who get the referrences.

Most of those who have been following this game know that they've included spoofs on more popular games such as:
God of WharfShadow of the Colossal DonutMedal of HomerIn addition to the above, they've even included a pretty big twist in their choice of a final boss.

The Simpsons will be available on multiple platforms (DS, PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii, Xbox 360) and is set to be out this Autumn in the US. While waiting for this to come out, why don't you check out some of the E3 screenshots? More updates as they happen.

Tons of info as well as some scorching-hot gameplay in this stage demo video of the upcoming hack-and-slash title for the Nintendo Wii, D3Publisher's Dragon Blade: Wrath of Fire. We get you the skinny on what's up with the game that gives you all the cool powers of a fire-breathing dragon - and none of the scales.

In this video, we see more of the gameplay that looks quite similar to today's popular slash-em-up titles, as well as a cool boss battle sequence between the flame-imbued protagonist and the enemy he's supposed to be ineffective against, the Water Dragon. Elemental rules may not be at play here, as the fire attacks pretty much hurt. We also get to see the Core Attack Chance instance pop up - an integral part in boss battles that activate once you've whittled down the boss' health enough.

For the info part of this update, we learn that Dragon Blade: Wrath of Fire is going to be twenty-four stages long, divided evenly between six worlds. The bosses are pretty ...

Two new titles are now up on Europe's retro video games list on Wii's Virtual Console. On the spotlight this week is Paper Mario and Air "Zonk".

Okay, so Paper Mario isn't so retro, as it was released on the Nintendo 64 in 2001, but you've got to admit that it is a must have. If you aren't so familiar with the title, Paper Mario from Intelligent Systems featured 2D characters in a 3D setting. As usual, Bowser is up to his dastardly deeds again. He kidnaps the seven Star Spirits and Princess Peach, and steals the Star Rod. Of course, you know the drill: do everything possible to rescue the princess!

The other title on Europe's VC list this week is Air "Zonk", originally on the Turbografx 16 back in 1992. It's side-scrolling shooter where players get to where the shoes of the hero, Zonk to stop the evil King Drool. Well, a whole lot of anthropomorphic bosses are standing in between you and your mission so you better not laugh at the face of a talking battleship o...

Aside from the shortage this coming holidays for the Wii, Nintendo also seems to face a minor case of writer's block. In an E3 interview by Forbes with George Harrison, Vice President of Marketing for Nintendo, we are given a brief but insightful look into the future of the Wii, post-E3.

In the interview, it was revealed that 32 of Wii consumers are aged 25 and above. Harrison explains that this is because that really was the goal of Nintendo's early marketing strategies. Part of the aim of the Wii is it's social aspect and to expand their audience besides the traditional gamer.

However, one of the side effects of developing early games designed to pull in the non-gamer is that there's a lack of games for the hardcore ones. In fact, the Wii has been experiencing a deluge of Mario games which, although fun and entertaining, won't sit well with more experienced gamers who want a bit more variety on their plate. Harrison answers this concern:

In terms of a comp...

Dear ESA,

We've been down in SoCal for E3 since Tuesday, and now that E3's all closed up and the 3,000 industry pros and journalists invited to attend are heading home, we can only ask ourselves one thing: what the hell happened to E3? We knew full well coming into this thing that the mammoth, gonzo interactive entertainment spectacle of years past may have been lost to the ages, but the hollow husk of a show you guys replaced it with is drab, depressing, and generally disorganized. In short, we're totally bummed.

E3 used to be our favorite week of the year -- the trade show nerds dreamt of attending. Every year GameStop and EB clerks the nation over would claw tooth and nail for even the slightest chance at getting a pass to a show which has since been reduced to four rows of HDTVs in a janky hangar, and what amounts to a shuttle bus tour of Santa Monica's five-star hotels (where exhibiting companies set up shop). It was kind of li...
