With all of this NiGHTS business, we've been arguing back and forth here at HQ about the validity of such an announcement. Sure, we're super-excited for the game, but we understand there are some out there who didn't even play the first game, or might've played it and hated it. Also, taking into account the recent separation between Yuji Naka and Sega, would this new NiGHTS come close to being as good as the original?
"What better way to find out," we ask ourselves, "then by running a poll?" "None," we reply as we put up the poll ...
How excited are you for NiGHTS?
I'm skeptical since Yuji Naka has nothing to do with it
Who cares about Yuji, a new NiGHTS is worth all this excitement
I nev...

This isn't some sick, delayed April Fool's joke. After endless rumors and speculation, Japanese gaming mag Famitsu has finally confirmed ONM's "world exclusive": the official sequel to NiGHTS into Dreams, tentatively titled NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams, is coming to the Wii this winter. The Wiimote will be heavily utilized in the flying mechanics, which include soaring, tumbling, and freewheeling through an endless diamond sky. The producer of the title, Takashi Izuka of Sonic Team USA, has this to say about the title:
"In 1996, we created the NiGHTS character to achieve a concept of 'being refreshed from being able to fly in the sky'. 11 years later, at last, we have broken our silence. NiGHTS will now fly in a new dream world: new stages, new story, and on the new Wii platform. Please look forward to NiGHTS and friends exploring this brand new adventure."

Well, we're certainly not interested in picking up the free Barbie game, but grabbing some free Tony Hawk with a purchase of Call of Duty 3 seems like a great idea. Over at CAG, CheapyD has posted another bargain alert for people to feel good about. It's a buy one-take one offer for specific Activision titles, and while the selection isn't large, we certainly do like some of the video game's they've got up there.
Wii owners, for example, will be happy to note that copies of Rapala Tournament Fishing, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, Call of Duty 3, and Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam are part of the promotion. Xbox 360 owners will also get their own set, of course. As for the PS3 folks... well, they need more titles before such freebies can be justified, we suppose.
In any case, here's the full list of Buy One-Take One games from Toys "R" Us, which are good both online and inside the stores:
Call of Duty 3 (Xbox 360, PS2, Wii)Tony Hawk 8 (Xbox 360, PS2, Xbox)Tony Hawk's Downh...

That's right! While everyone's probably going to be gushing over the release of Guitar Hero II for the Xbox 360, or maybe hunting golems on the PS3 iteration of Enchanted Arms, we're gushing over the complete and total awesomeness of Chocobo Power in Square Enix's Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales, and we aren't going to give him up that easily!

There obviously is no keeping puzzle game Konami's Kororinpa Marble Mania from invading your gaming consciousness. Yep, after making such a splash on the Wii, Kororinpa will now be bouncing its way to your mobile phones.
We found this images from Famitsu, and we'd have to say we're pretty impressed. They do look close enough to the Wii screenshots, after all. While images are all we have for you for now (no date nor price has been set for the mobile release), we do know that Hudson Soft is leaning towards a Japan release for the mobile Kororinpa Marble Mania.
So until we get our hands on any more news regarding this, check out the screenshots below.

If there was ever a time to say that the whole NiGHTS business with Sega was closed and certain, this would be it. Japanese websites are now sourcing some new pictures that include the final title of the upcoming Wii NiGHTS video game, which is now called NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams.
No word yet on what we should expect from the game though, but for now, you can at least be properly assured that NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams is something you can wait to see on video game store shelves some time very soon. In the meantime, have a look at the two pretty pictures above wait patiently for your chance to relive NiGHTS again.

At the Nintendo World store in the city where the food is as diverse as its people, Nintendo hosted a Cooking Mama "Cook Off Challenge" for virtual chefs over at Rockefeller Plaza, Manhattan. Promoting Cooking Mama: Cook Off for the Wii, the event brought avid Cooking Mama fans over to try out the game and even compete with each other through different in-game challenges on provided Wii demonstration stations.
And while they were sprucing something appetizing, a real chef was also there to provide something to munch on while the public were on their way to win a copy of Cooking Mama: Cook Off, and get to walk home with a limited edition, collectible apron. It's funny that one of the winners was an actual culinary student who came down to test his mettle. Now how about that?
Majesco Entertainment and the Nintendo World store sponsored this fun-filled event to promote the public release of Cooking Mama: Cook Off for the Wii. It was held on March 31 in New York Cit...

Although I haven't watched Blades of Glory yet, I had a lot of fun watching Jon Heder in Napoleon Dynamite. The actor was recently interviewed by Hollywood Byte's John Gaudiosi and he talked about skating, working with Will Ferrell, and of course, video games. We'll skip the ice skating and Will Ferrell talk and instead we'll focus on Jon Heder and the video games he plays. The actor doesn't consider himself a video game junkie, but he admits that he has been a gamer for a long time. He mentions that:
When Halo came out, that's all I played. I'm a big Halo guy. I'm a Nintendo loyalist. I love the Wii. They don't have tons of games yet for it, but it's great. I'm a huge Zelda fan. I just beat the Wii game. I've always been a Zelda fan. It's fantasy. It's going to a different world. It's problem-solving and figuring out clues and how to get around the place. My wife enjoys it. It's something we can enjoy together.
His love for anything Nintendo started when he was still a ki...
