Turns out there just might be one individual out there who can rival the amount of excitement we feel for the impending launch of the Wii. So, when his local EB finally got their Wii demo kiosk in, he went to town with his camcorder and filmed every single thing he could think of. The end product is a 6 minute+ video showing some Excite Truck and the Wii menu interface.

The Nintendo Wii is being packaged with a squeaky clean image, in the sense that it's family-friendly and its games would cater to the wants of every member. But video gaming, just like real life, isn't all bright and sunshiny or nice and sweet - and that's where the game Sadness enters the picture.
Too bad that its developer, Nibris, has not been divulging more details about it. But to compensate for the lack of info to this hauntingly mysterious title for the Wii, the Polish game developer opened up about another game that they're brewing for the Nintendo DS and the Wii.
The new game they're developing is called Double Pang. From the title itself, you may already have an idea that this is not as dark and disturbing as Sadness. What is it all about? Well, the game is actually a new version of Pang (or Buster Bros. in the U.S.A), it is a one or two player arcade game which is the brainchild of Mitchell Corporations. It first saw the light of mass production in 1989 a...

Mii-maker, Mii-maker, make me a Mii ... how many of you can't wait to get your hands on your spankin' new Wii, just to fiddle with the Mii creation? Not to fret -- remember that homebrewed Mii creator that we told you about last month? At the time, a few of you ponied up and showed off your Miis, but we crave more Mii action.
And since we'd never ask you for something we wouldn't do... check after the jump for Miis from the Wii Fanboy staff. In just a few weeks, we'll be breaking these bad boys out for real. But for now, get creative. Break out Photoshop if you want to for a few coloring changes that you won't be able to do on the real deal. It's okay to cheat, 'cause this one's just practice. Then grab a screencap and link the results in the comments. Tell us what you like and don't like about the process and the results Let's get our Miis parading around on a test drive!

In the Bleach universe, your zanpaku sword is almost an extension of your being. Connecting with it by knowing the sword's name and calling upon it increases your fighting ability in varying ways. Forging a deeper connection with the sword enhances your power and the sword's existing abilities greatly, making you a deadly killing machine.
In Sega's upcoming Wii game, Bleach Wii Shiraha Kirameku Rondo, that premise doesn't change. Instead of talking about the controls or seeing promotional videos of how kids will love waving the Wiimote around like a sword trying to kill his best buddy, we might as well skip to an actual fight, right? To that end, we shall not disappoint.
The video you'll be watching below is two rounds worth of Ichigo vs Renji action. Not only will you get to see them in their usual shinigami form, you'll also get to watch their zanpaku swords' transformation sequence into their bankai forms: Tensa Zangetsu and Hihiou Zabimaru, respectively.

Since the Wii can play all your classic games, not only on classic Nintendo consoles, but from Sega's and other platforms as well, it would be useful to know which controllers can work for which games. Now it was nice to hear from Nintendo and CVG about this, but to be honest - and judging from your comments - we still needed a bit of clearing up on controller compatibilities.
Enter the most helpful folks of Infendo. They looked over the text of the CVG-Nintendo interview, did a bit of in-field research on their own (as an update), and came up with this handy little controller matrix. Nothing says "A picture's worth more than a thousand words" more than the picture you're looking at, and we don't have to elaborate.
It would be nice if Infendo can update about Wiimote compatibility for Genesis, etc. games, though. And it's not only because that red question mark sticks out in a field of green and white. Otherwise, Wii'll have to dig up our old GameCube controllers...

Okay, time to take the Wii pre-orders across the Atlantic in this direction. EBGames and GameStop have announced that, the evening (CST) of this Thursday, November 9, they will begin accepting Wii pre-orders online. Make your online order and expect to reserve the following for yourself come November 19, Wii Launch Day:
the consoleone Wiimoteone Nunchuckcables, sensor bar, console standa copy of Wii SportsBut all pre-orders from now have to be online. "Due to high demand and limited quantities, our U.S. in-store pre-order for the Nintendo Wii has ended." Same is true in Canada, by the way. Keep those PCs and internet connections warm, girls and boys.
GameStop and EBGames also have the launch lineup available for pre-order reservations, so you might want to hit that up while making your pre-order. After all, you wouldn't want Wii Sports to be so lonely, all alone in your Wii game library, would you? Didn't think so.

PS3 training website. Supposedly, there is a website that's Canadian Wal-Mart employees have been using (or will be using) to train themselves about the PS3. It's the source link we have below. Hm, we're not so sure it's real, but it sure "looks" legitimate.
Wal-Mart documents on PS3 and Wii. And there have been some signs that it's real. We did a bit of snooping through the net, and we found threnodythrenody's flickr, and there were these documents for Wal-Mart employees. It's strange that the bottom of the PS3 documents says "July 2006." The images were uploaded to flickr on November 6.
Notice that at the bottom of the PS3 documents it says "www.ps3training.ca" - and that's the URL of the site in question.
PS3 spec FAQ. Note the spec details in the PS3 FAQ image - some of them are amazing. The PS3's Cell is "10 times as fast as Intel's most powerful Pentium and 35 times faster than the current PS2 chip." Hm. If that's true, that's rea...

Ohnoes. Ohwoes. Thisbloes! There goes another one. What's happening to the world? First, Lik-Sang gets dumped by the Sony lawsuits. Then, Play-Asia cancels its UK pre-orders. And now... Is Play.com cancelling its Wii pre-orders?
w1ll_haven forwarded us an email that he got from Play.com about how his pre-order got cancelled. The letter is worded a bit weird, because at the start, they say that his console was cancelled. And then towards the end, they're speaking as if he still has the pre-order. Whaaa?
Dear Customer,
Due to a European shortage of the Nintendo Wii Consoles, we regret to inform you that Play.com will be unable to supply your pre-ordered Nintendo Wii at launch. As an Official distributor of Nintendo products we are guaranteed more stock before Christmas, but Nintendo have informed us, along with all other official Nintendo retailers, that the console will not be freely available until next year.
All pre-orders will be fulfilled on a fir...

One of the Aussie-Nintendo (A-N) readers attended the GAME1 event in Melbourne. The A-N article was entitled "Red Wii and Wii Sports presentation at GAME1" - and this got us excited because we thought it would be a completely red Wii. But it wasn't. It was only this red-faced box:
You remember the developer units with the green face-plates, right? We thought this was a similar thing. One of the commenters even wondered if it was a "debug unit". So it wasn't really that big a deal, and we moved on and didn't write about it.
What is it? Then it turns out one of the A-N readers came along and explained what the red faced Wii was:
After speaking to him [Stewart] and examining the pictures in detail I discovered that the red faced Wiis contain hard drives inside, and that they seem to be connected to the normal Wii units that were on display. Well the Zelda one at least.
But the question remains. When! When! When are we going to get other colors? Whi...
