No hablo espa ol, se or. But I do know Wii-speak though. And not matter where you are, who you are, it doesn't take a translating Babelfish implanted into your ear to see how much someone enjoys playing with the Wii. In a recent official Wii event from Nintendo in Spain, people were all smiles as they got their first-hand experience with the console.

This vid from Wario88 compiles more than ten full minutes of footage on the show floor. As with other Wii events in the past in other countries, you've got demos for most of the recognizable titles, from the highly-anticipated The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess to the under-hyped Wing Island. In their "demo kiosk" for Wii Sports, they actually set-up booths related to the sport you can play there. Their boxing kiosk was surrounded with ropes just like a boxing ring, the golf kiosk had a green fairway carpet of grass, and so on...

There's more games featured in the video, and it's always nice to see more coverage of ...

It's common sense that "what goes up must come down," but you need specific formulas if you're going to send a space shuttle into space. In other words, you need solid data and clear numbers.

So we appreciated the data we found in a Gamasutra article about BrandIntel, a market research company out of Toronto, and BrandIntel's "Top 50 Video Games Report." The study took data from both "online and human analysis from January 1, 2006 to October 31, 2006 for over 1,200 titles" - including those that have only been announced. "The games were broken down in terms of audience interest and sentiment score, and then subsequently ranked."

The results. So which games got the most audience (customer) interest?Gears of War
The game is from Epic Games and Microsoft Game Studios is unstoppable. (We had to use Tim Buckley's Ctrl Alt Del comic take on it from ctrlaltdel-online.com.)

Nintendo Wii Fanboy is on-hand at Times Square, New York for the launch party of the Nintendo Wii. Upon arriving at around 1:45 PM, 150 people were waiting in line ahead of us. As of now, at 7:45 PM, approximately 1200 people are currently waiting for the festivities to begin at 8 PM.

The store purportedly has five thousand units for sale, almost immediately ensuring a stress-free and calm environment. Everyone seems to be friendly and jovial, just as we had hoped. Some pre-partying from TRU has been impressive: jury-rigged "Seg-Wiis", Segmay machines rigged with LCD monitors and a Wii system to show off Excite Truck and Wii Sports. Some swag includes Wii hats, Wii beanies, free demo DVDs, and some extra goodies apparently being given away in a few minutes.

We apologize for the lack of pictures, but there'll be plenty of video coverage sometime early tomorrow. If time permits, we'll update a little ...

Big, big week for gadget news (as we all well know). The Zune, the PS3, and the Wii, it's been pretty crazed around the hallowed halls of Engadget HQ. We're not going to spend a lot of time talking about the news surrounding the gadgets since something tells us a lot of you are wondering what they're like, and whether you should by one. We also briefly touch on some other noteworthy announcements, including the Lenovo X60, Nikon D40, the Core 2 Duo MacBook, and those sweet new Cingular Windows Mobile devices. For those not in the know, Playboy has been running a yearly nude (or sometimes semi-nude) portfolio of hot video game characters for three years now. According to Scott Alexander, Playboy's Senior Editor, this is their way of injecting the video game culture into the magazine (read: getting the geeky hardcore gamers into buying Playboys).

Now, this year's Playboy Women of Gaming photo spread features nude female characters from different games gracing the front of the Playboy Mansion. Included in the list of virtual hotness are the following characters:
Sarah Morrison from Tabula RasaJessica McRae from Scarface: The World Is YoursLida and Persephone from God of War II
Alica Claus from Bullet Witch
Dr. Jasmine Lin from TimeShift
Enrica Villablanca from Splinter Cell: Double Agent (Wii, PC, Xbox360)
Sorry to disappoint you guys, but we don't have pictures of this year's photo spread. And the one pic we got (see image above) was cut out from the neck up,...

Would you give up a PS3 for the rest of your life to win a $7500 computer? PC Gamer convinced one guy to do just that at the Sony Metreon in San Francisco.
After being offered a $7500 gaming rig complete with 30" LCD, former Sony fanboy Neil contractually signed off his right to ever own a PS3 console. Sure, he can still buy a Wii (and possibly go over to a friend's to play PS3), but you don't realize how much these new gadgets are intrinsically worth until someone offers you a boatload of money to never own them. What do our faithful readers think? Would you take a deal to never own...let's say play...a PS3 for a certain amount of compensation? – Mark Wilson

December 14 is looming closer, and we sure can't wait for Bleach Shiraha Kirameku Rondo's release. Yep, come its launch, we can finally take our dreams of being shinigamis a tad higher as we get to swing our zanpakutos with the Wiimote, and roleplay tons of the manga/anime characters to our hearts' content.

For those who are not familiar with the the game, let me brief you a bit first. Bleach is a popular manga and anime series (both are still ongoing, by the way) made by Tite Kubo. It revolves mainly on the exploits of Ichigo Kurosaki, a high school who has the ability to see ghosts, who eventually becomes a shinigami ("Soul Reaper"/ "Death god"). As the story unfolds, we discover more about the "Soul Society", where souls get transported to, post-mortem. Thus, we get to see more of the shinigami (and we mean tons here), where 25 of them are featured in the game.

I think Bleach's appeal lies not only on the interesting story, but on the equally engaging characte...

Plug and play your "power stick" Wii remote all you want, dude. That's just got 4KB of internal flash memory - just about enough for your Mii avatars. But what about memory storage for the Wii itself? You've got that slot at the front of the console for expandable SD memory.

Yeah, it's just one slot, so you got to make sure you've got some trusty hardware to store all of your content, be they game saves or homebrewed Flash games. SanDisk just got their head in the game and their memory cards in the console, so to speak, as they've released a line of SD cards for your Wii. The cards are stamped with the Wii logo to stress their partnership with Nintendo.

Their cards come in 2GB, 1GB, and 512MB capacities, and respectively cost US 89.99, US 54.99, and US 39.99. Here are the specs:
